Focus Modes

Focus modes filter notifications automatically based on context.

Built-in Focus Modes

Mode	What It Does
Do Not Disturb	Silences all notifications
Work	Only allows work-related apps and contacts
Personal	Only allows personal apps and contacts
Sleep	Silences everything during sleep hours

Setting Up Focus Modes

System Settings > Focus

For each mode, configure:

• Allowed people: Who can break through
• Allowed apps: Which apps can send notifications
• Focus filters: Show only relevant Mail accounts, Safari tabs, calendars
• Schedule: When the mode activates automatically
• Lock Screen: Customize what appears

Automation Triggers

Focus modes can activate automatically based on:

• Time: e.g., Work focus from 9 AM to 5 PM
• Location: e.g., Personal focus when you arrive home
• App: e.g., Gaming focus when you open Steam
