Finder Settings

Open Finder, then go to Finder > Settings in the menu bar:

• General: Set "New Finder windows show" to your home folder or Downloads
• Sidebar: Check/uncheck items to customize the sidebar
• Advanced: Turn on "Show all filename extensions"
