Turn your iPad into a second monitor for your Mac.

How to Connect

1. Click Control Center in the menu bar → Screen Mirroring → select your iPad
2. Or: System Settings > Displays > click the "+" button → select your iPad

Modes

• Extended Display: iPad acts as a separate monitor (most useful)
• Mirror Display: shows the same thing on both screens

Sidecar Features

• Touch Bar appears on iPad (even if your Mac doesn't have one)
• Apple Pencil works as a drawing tablet in supported apps
• Can be wired (USB-C) or wireless

Universal Control

Use one keyboard and mouse/trackpad across your Mac and iPad placed side by side.

Universal Control Setup

1. System Settings > Displays > Advanced > turn on "Allow your pointer and keyboard to move between any nearby Mac or iPad"
2. Place your iPad next to your Mac
3. Move your cursor to the edge of your Mac screen toward the iPad: it crosses over

You can even drag and drop files between devices.
