Hidden vs Minimized. They're Different

Action	What Happens	How to Get Back
Cmd + H	Hides the app (all windows disappear)	Click the app in the Dock or Cmd + Tab to it
Cmd + M	Minimizes current window to Dock	Click the minimized window in the Dock (right side)
Red button (X)	Closes the window, app stays running	Cmd + N or open from Dock

The Window Is on Another Space

If a window vanishes, it might be on a different virtual desktop (Space):

• Swipe up with 3 fingers → Mission Control → look for it across your Spaces
• Or Ctrl + Left/Right to cycle through Spaces

The Screen Changed Resolution

External monitor connected/disconnected? Windows may have moved off-screen:

• Hold Option while clicking Window in the menu bar → Zoom to bring it back
• Or drag from the edge of the screen
