Quick Wins

  1. Empty Trash: Right-click the Trash icon in the Dock > Empty Trash
  2. Clear Downloads: Open Finder > Downloads. Delete files you don't need.
  3. Review storage: System Settings > General > Storage. Click recommendations.
  4. Offload to iCloud: System Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > iCloud Drive > Optimize Mac Storage

Find Large Files

  • Open Finder > press Cmd + F > change "Kind" to "File Size" > "is greater than" > 100 MB
  • Or use DaisyDisk for a visual breakdown
